I follow @mostlylisa on Twitter. Lately I haven’t been paying much attention to my stream. However, one tweet caught my eye and I went to check it out.

I was given a Canon Powershot S95 for Christmas because I had been looking at new cameras for a little while this year. The S95 seemed to be a perfect fit for me because it stretches the gap between a point and shoot and a DSLR while staying pocketable. It gives quite a bit of control over camera functions such as shutter speed, aperture, manual focus, etc. It sports a control ring for controlling all of which I mentioned.

With a new camera in hand and Mostly 365 in mind I just had to join the others taking one picture a day. I will be uploading to my Flickr, but syndicating here too.

Today I have been reading a bunch of people’s recaps of 2010. At the first thought my 2010 wasn’t all that exciting. Then I really thought about what happened this year and it turns out I’ve had one heck of a 2010. Let me recap:

• January: started to re-build pinaxproject.com
• January: built and launched lostpredictions.com from Potter Predictions code base [Eldarion]
• January: built and launched apple.dyaso.com [Eldarion]
• February: went to PyCon in Atlanta
• April: built and launched mytechne.com [Eldarion]
• March: went to Las Vegas with my best friend
• May: started playing Lord of Ultima and made Emperor by Dec. 26th
• June: turned 24
• July: moved back home to save money
• August: bought my first new car (2010 Ford Fusion Sport)
• August: participated in the DjangoDash with James Tauber and built the first version of manoria
• August: re-built and launched cats-or-dogs.com [Eldarion]
• September: went to DjangoCon in Portland
• September: travelled to London, Singapore, Perth and Sydney in a 17 day trip and met some really wonderful people on the way
• September: went to my first wine tasting while in Perth and had a blast
• September: attended my good friend, James Tauber’s, wedding while in Perth
• October: started Old Chicago’s World Beer Tour (currently at 45 beers in)
• November: moved in with my best friend (first roommate in over three years)
• November: helped re-launch the new quisition.com [Eldarion]
• December: launched the new pinaxproject.com
• 2010 marks my first full year working at Eldarion
• contributed 709 commits to Pinax repository (representing 67% of my total contribution)

Before posting this I realized I took down my oebfare blog. I setup a tumblr account and hooked it up to brianrosner.com. I think I will see how this goes for 2011. Onward!
